Julie and Steve the ring exchange

As I am about to start editing almost 2000 photographs from yesterdays stunning d.i.y. recycle & sunflowers Wedding which took place in Bakewell, I thought I best get some pictures out there from my previous weddings, as I still have a lot I want to publish for your eyes! This image was taken this May, in the Isle of Anglesey. The weather had not been great and there was a little concern that it may be grey and drizzly. I believe that I have or maybe even bring good luck with the weather at weddings. It always shines even if, as it has happened, had rained for three weeks solid or its an October wedding with the hottest day on record! This wedding was no exception.

For me, this image is so great as it captures the Groom’s expression as the Bride is placing the ring on his finger. It is one of the most important moments of the whole wedding. It’s the moment you become ‘married’. It’s always a very emotional part of the journey. Here Steve clearly shows us how he’s feeling and it creates a sense of actually being there. He explained to me he was thanking god for his beautiful wife! Awww…

The Church

This weeks image is another church scene taken Saturday 27th April at St. Elisabeth’s Church, Stockport, U.K.  This is a personal favourite photograph as the lighting is finished darker than that I would normally work with in wedding series but artistic documentary style allows this image to tell a story through the light. The little bridesmaid is lit up brightly as she is cared for by the older bridesmaids. The lighting makes her seem more precious. This bridesmaid is the only daughter of the Bride and Groom, who are at the alter in the middle of their Wedding ceremony.  The bridesmaid is watching her parents make this commitment not only to one another but to her too.

I have recently just finished the final edit and cleaning up of the images and sent 20 Polaroid Style postcards for print. I am working on finished products and I am currently experimenting with different postcards and prints and presentation boxes. I intend not to only create beautiful imagery of your special day but to present them in the same standard of beautiful products.

Brides wins her King of Hearts

‘The Bride wins her King of Hearts’ is this weeks image and this is the closing image to the series I have posted of Adam & Sheena’s Wedding which took place in Wigan, last May 2012. This image was taken near the end of the night when the magician was doing his rounds leaving the guests stunned as he did different tricks around the edges of the dance floor. Here he’s entertaining the bride and fittingly she wins the Kings of Hearts, which impressed our bride and delighted the bridesmaids!
