Image of the Week ~ 11

This week I have chosen an image taken on the 22nd July, the Ceremony in the Museo dell’Antica Grancia, di Serre, Tuscany, Italy. This is one of the first images taken as the Bride joins the Groom about to be married. As a Photojournalist Wedding Photographer it is vital to capture what is really happening through out the day and the Cememony is of the upmost importance to get right. In this image the Bride and Groom are really laughing, something has been said to them that has really tickled them. The Bride and Groom seem as though they are the focal point, their bodies and minds are clearly in sync with one another as they seem to reflect each others actions. Yet as your eyes scan across the image, the guests are very much in focus and suddenly the feel of the image changes. All the peering faces are quiet yet beaming with joy. The Mother of the Bride is wiping her eyes with a tissue, as is the Grooms Mother (we can just about make her out through the Groom and Best Man) and we get the sense of a room filled with lots of emotions. As ours eyes come round to the Bride and Groom again, we see not only the joy of a joke but instead a mixture of nerves, excitement and complete joy for the act and the commitment that is about to take place.
